DOUBLE WINDOW SYSTEM (for existing aluminium windows)

As can be seen in the above table the Double Window System is by far the most effective way to reduce noise entering through windows. This is due to the fact that the bigger the gap between the glass panels then the greater is the sound reduction. A difference in glass thickness between the inner and outer panels also benefits sound reduction.

Our Double Window System uses 6.38mm thick laminated glass in conjunction with relatively thin glass in the existing aluminium window.

The Double Window System is ideally suited to reducing traffic noise. It can be adapted to most existing aluminium windows.

The Double Window System is installed internally and is barely perceptible from the outside. Therefore it is the ideal solution for noise control in flats, units and other higher density dwellings where body corporates may have controls on the external appearance of buildings.

Apart from the noise reduction benefits there are also the thermal insulation benefits associated with double glazing.
